Jane Innes and Tai Chi Aberdeenshire provide tuition in taiji quan and qigong (pronounced tai chi chuan and chi kung) to all ages and abilities in Banchory, Stonehaven and the surrounding area.

The weekly taiji classes usually last 60 to 90 minutes, and start with a gentle warm-up before working on the sequences of the Yang style long form. The main focus is on posture, breathing and movement to support calmness, balance and health. As students gain experience of the form we explore the philosophy, symbolism and some martial applications.

In the 60 minute Qigong classes we practise simple exercises using gentle movements co-ordinated with breathing to encourage relaxation and self awareness in body and mind.

We also tailor tuition to individual and group needs, and can adapt taiji and qigong movements for a variety of abilities.

We can come to your organization and arrange courses to suit you and your timetable.
